The idea for this song came at a private house party (the Smythes) where Da Slyme played a set in the basement in front of the furnace. It was their third gig. After the set over a few beers, Pasquale Neutron, vocals/drums (and The Reaction), and Roscoe Santiago, vocals/harmonica, improvised this faith-healing bit, ending with Neutron going face flat onto the hardwood floor! “There’s a song in that!” It became a feature performance piece during every subsequent Da Slyme gig. The afflictions healed changed from show to show. On this never-before-released track, recorded at The Browned Off Lounge in downtown St. John’s, Newfoundland, in November 1981, Goohaw Groon is healed just in time for his duck call solo.
