The first Da Slyme session was Dec. 23, 1977, in Studio A of MUNRadio-CHMR at Memorial University in St. John’s, Newfoundland, an island off the east coast of Canada. While gear was set up, several of the lads sat on a windowsill and wrote this. A scant 15-minutes later, after a couple of practices, the tape rolled and this was recorded in mono on an Ampex 440. This never-before-released cut is the first recorded take of the song that became the opener for every Da Slyme show. Who needs three chords when two will do?
