about

Kirt Sic-o-via, guitar/electronics (sometimes dubbed “the best damned Wallace Hammond-style guitarist in the world’) brought this one in. It’s a high calibre shot at the corrupt record and recording industry. Recorded live at Memorial University on Feb. 9, 1979, it originally appeared on Da Slyme double vinyl (1980). But the version on that record was flawed by a tape stretch in the mastering process that created a gap in the

recording. To hell with it, it was good enough, gap and all, so it ended up on that double album. But then, in preparing this retrospective, the producers found a version of the exact same performance without the tape gap. So, this is new, sort of, and a link to that 1980 double vinyl, too
